Cookie policy

Exactly which cookies altixcode.com sets — the short answer is one, and only for signed-in staff.

The short version

Browsing the public pages of this site writes no cookie to your device. Two scripts of ours run on every page — described below — and both are configured in a cookieless mode, so there is nothing on these pages that needs your consent. That is why you are not shown a consent banner.

The one cookie we do set

After a successful sign-in to the administration area we set a single session cookie holding a signed token. It is HTTP-only, marked Secure and SameSite=Lax, and expires after eight hours or when you sign out. It exists solely to keep a member of staff signed in, and it is never set for visitors.

Our own analytics and error monitoring

This site runs two self-hosted tools that we also sell as products: Altix Analytics, which counts pageviews and traffic sources, and Altix ErrorTrack, which reports JavaScript errors so we can fix them. Both are our own code on our own servers, and both are configured not to write a cookie or any persistent identifier to your device — Altix Analytics computes a daily salted hash instead of a tracking ID, and Altix ErrorTrack's browser SDK only reports the error that just happened, with no session or replay tracking enabled.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, A/B testing tools, session recorders or social-media tracking pixels, so no outside company can set or read a cookie through this site.
