RedactPro

Redaction that destroys pixels instead of drawing a rectangle over them.

An offline tool for hiding sensitive information in screenshots and documents. Text is found on-device with Vision OCR, and the redaction is burned into the exported image — the covered pixels are gone, not merely hidden behind a layer someone can move.

Most "redaction" in consumer apps is a black rectangle drawn on a layer above the image. Export it to a format that preserves layers, or undo one step, and the secret is back. RedactPro flattens the redaction into the exported pixels, so what is covered is destroyed.

How it is verified

We do not take the export on trust. Four known secrets are planted in a test document, the file is redacted, and an independent OCR pass is run over the exported result. The test fails unless it recovers none of them. That check runs against a release build, not a simulator mock.

On device, always

Text detection uses the platform's own Vision framework locally. Nothing leaves the phone, which is the only honest position for a tool whose entire purpose is handling material you do not want seen.

Capabilities

On-device text detection

Vision OCR finds candidate text regions locally so you can redact by tapping rather than tracing.

Destructive export

Redactions are burned into the output pixels; the covered content cannot be recovered from the exported file.

No account, no upload

There is no sign-in and no network call in the processing path.

Lifetime unlock

A single non-consumable purchase rather than a subscription.

Screens

What it looks like in use.

Select any screen to view it full size. Use the arrow keys to move between screens and Escape to close.

  • Import a screenshot or document from the photo library.
  • Vision OCR proposes text regions; tap to redact rather than trace by hand.
  • The export is flattened — an independent OCR pass over it recovers nothing.

Send the shape of the problem and any constraints you already know — budget, deadline, the stack you are stuck with. You will get a written reply from the engineer who would do the work, not a sales sequence.
