Datevbridge imports Stripe balance transactions and exports a DATEV EXTF Buchungsstapel that a Steuerberater can import directly, routing every charge, fee and payout through a clearing account so revenue, VAT and reclaimable input tax are never understated. It's built for German businesses on Stripe whose bookkeeping needs gross-amount, DATEV-native entries rather than Stripe's net payout figure.

Stripe settles a payout net of fees, but German bookkeeping needs the gross sale and the fee booked as two separate facts. Datevbridge imports Stripe balance transactions and books every charge, refund, fee, chargeback and payout through a clearing (Geldtransit) account, so the account's balance always equals exactly what Stripe is holding and nets to zero once a payout clears.

The export is a byte-for-byte DATEV EXTF Buchungsstapel — the real 31-field header and 125 column names, encoded in Windows-1252 rather than UTF-8, because the DATEV format's own column headers contain a character only that encoding represents correctly. Every amount is computed with exact decimal arithmetic via scaled integers, never floats, with the sign carried in the Soll/Haben column rather than the amount itself.

Syncing is idempotent and incremental: re-running an overlapping import window only imports what's new. The Stripe connection is read-only — only restricted keys with balance-transaction read access are accepted, and a full secret key is rejected outright, since nothing in the product needs to move money.

4 capabilities
Clearing-account reconciliation
Every gross charge debits a Geldtransit account; every fee and payout credits it, so the balance always matches what Stripe is holding.
DATEV EXTF Buchungsstapel export
Generates a Windows-1252, 125-column export a Steuerberater imports directly, with the Stripe transaction ID carried into a reference column for traceability.
Idempotent, incremental sync
Imports Stripe balance transactions period by period; an overlapping sync window only imports what's new.
SKR03/SKR04 account mapping
Ships with common-practice chart-of-accounts mappings, fully overridable and explicitly flagged as a starting point to confirm with a Steuerberater.
